We want you to feel at "Home"... We want to introduce you to a different view of tourism... Here we try to live with a focus on slow living, stillness, affection, in local experiences with the utmost respect for Nature. Is ideal for large families or groups of friends looking for privacy to celebrate special occasions and/or retreats, whether they are on vacation or on business.

Rooms

Several different rooms are available inspired by portuguese popular art and the virtues of Egas Moniz ("courage, loyalty and altruism, among others).

Solar Egas Moniz is a 19th century Charming House, which has been completely renovated and is available for rent on an exclusive basis. It has 10 ensuite bedrooms, a library and work desk with wood burning stove, a dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a living room with wine bar and fireplace, garden with outdoor pool and playground for children, games room and barbeque. 

Rental on an exclusive basis requires a reservation  from 4 rooms (maximum 10 double rooms), for a minimum period of 2 nights from October to May (except Easter, Carnival, Christmas, New Year's Eve and Holidays which is 3 nights). Also 3 nights applies in the remaining period from June to September.

Price double room: 130€ per night (from october to may) | 160€ per night (from june to september, holidays & new year's eve)

Solar Egas Moniz is located in the small village of Paço de Sousa | Penafiel, in the northern region of Portugal, just 30 minutes from Porto / Porto Airport; from Guimarães; from Amarante or Douro.
